Job summary

The ideal candidate holds CST and BLS certifications with 1–3 years of relevant experience and has completed an accredited surgical technology program. This on-site role supports OR turnover and patient safety in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 CST required; Certificate 2 BLS required.
• 1–3 years related work experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or military/public health service training.
• Certified surgical technologist credential required by a recognized body.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the circulating nurse to prepare the OR and equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Pass supplies and instruments, assist with suctioning and specimen handling as directed.
• Recognize and report safety issues; protect patient privacy and rights.
