Job summary

MemorialCare seeks a Perioperative Patient Care Assistant in Laguna Hills, CA. The role supports the Surgery Services department as an unlicensed caregiver under the direction of the RN, ensuring smooth communication among practitioners, patients, and visitors.

The position emphasizes timely patient flow and adherence to safety and privacy standards. Responsibilities include data collection, assistance with activities of daily living, and participation in the on-call process.

Qualifications

• One-year acute care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical and information technology systems.

• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of medical, financial, and other sensitive material.
