Job summary

Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, CA, is hiring a Clinical RN II for the Oncology/General Surgery unit. This full-time night shift position offers a $10,000 signing bonus for external hires and requires strong nursing leadership and patient-care coordination skills.

Minimum qualifications include CA RN license, BSN preferred, BLS, ACLS for new hires after 2023, EPIC experience, and oncology/general surgery acute care experience. NIHSS preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems such as EPIC.
• 1 year of acute care experience in Oncology, General Surgery, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or cardiac-related nursing preferred.
• California RN license required.
• BSN degree preferred and appropriate certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Direct, deliver, and coordinate nursing care for Oncology/General Surgery patients.
• Lead and direct unlicensed staff; document data and plan of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Participate in performance improvement and patient safety activities.

Education

BSN preferred

California RN License

BLS required

ACLS required for hires after Jan 1, 2023

EKG training within 90 days

NIHSS certification preferred

OCN or chemotherapy certification preferred
