Job summary

SpecialtyCare is seeking a Surgical Technician to support cardiovascular operating rooms. You will assess supplies, set up ORs with instruments, and coordinate with circulator to ensure availability and safety.

The role requires 1–3 years of CVOR tech experience, completion of a Surgical Technician program, and BLS certification; certification response preferred.

Qualifications

• CVOR surgical environment experience required.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform assessment of supplies and equipment for procedures as required by surgeon’s preference card.
• Demonstrate appropriate skill and knowledge to set up an operating room with proper equipment and instrumentation for a specific procedure.
• Notify the circulator of any equipment or supplies that may be missing or in need of repair.
• Practice cost containment by opening only minimal supplies necessary for procedure.
• Prepare patients and set up rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment; open sterile supplies and arrange sterile setups for operations.
• Perform office tests and administrative duties.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from Surgical Technician program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred

Experience:

• One (1) to Three (3) years of CVOR Tech experience
