Job summary

CHI Williston Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to support surgeons and registered nurses in a safe, efficient perioperative environment so they can provide exceptional patient care.

You will prepare the operating room, assist during invasive procedures, maintain sterile fields, and apply expert knowledge of anatomy and instrumentation to protect patient safety.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training, approved by leadership, on hire.
• Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists, on hire.
• Unlicensed Assistive Person: ND, on hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room Preparation: ensure the room is fully equipped with instrumentation and sterile supplies before surgery.
• Sterile Field Maintenance: establish and maintain a strictly organized sterile field and environmental controls.
• Surgical Assistance: assist the surgeon by optimizing wound visualization, aiding closure, and applying sterile dressings.
• Clinical Proficiency: apply anatomy, physiology and instrumentation knowledge to support perioperative safety.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Surgical Technicianat CHI Williston Health,you will helpsurgeons and registered nursesmaintain a safe and efficient surgical environmentso they canprovide exceptional patient care and successful surgical outcomes.

Every day you willprepare the procedure room and provide direct assistance during invasive procedures.You will be expected todemonstrate expert knowledge of sterile techniques, anatomy, and surgical instrumentation.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of sterile field protocols, have a foundational knowledge of surgical anatomy, and be committed to the mission, vision, and philosophy.

• Operating Room Preparation:Ensure the procedure room is fully equipped with the necessary instrumentation and sterile supplies prior to the start of each surgery.
• Sterile Field Maintenance:Establish and maintain a strictly organized sterile field, ensuring all team members adhere to environmental controls and decontamination standards.
• Surgical Assistance:Actively assist the surgeon by providing optimal visualization of the surgical wound, aiding in wound closure, and applying sterile dressings.
• Clinical Proficiency:Apply in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and specialized instrumentation to support surgical services and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

We are offering a $25,000 Sign-On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
