Job summary

CHI Williston Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to support surgeons and registered nurses in a safe, efficient perioperative environment so they can provide exceptional patient care.

You will prepare the operating room, assist during invasive procedures, maintain sterile fields, and apply expert knowledge of anatomy and instrumentation to protect patient safety.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training, approved by leadership, on hire.
• Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists, on hire.
• Unlicensed Assistive Person: ND, on hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room Preparation: ensure the room is fully equipped with instrumentation and sterile supplies before surgery.
• Sterile Field Maintenance: establish and maintain a strictly organized sterile field and environmental controls.
• Surgical Assistance: assist the surgeon by optimizing wound visualization, aiding closure, and applying sterile dressings.
• Clinical Proficiency: apply anatomy, physiology and instrumentation knowledge to support perioperative safety.
