Summa Health System, Medina Ambulatory Surgery Center, is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room setup and function as scrub throughout procedures. The position is full-time, days, Monday-Friday, 32 hours/week.

Under supervision, you will prepare equipment, instruments, and supplies and coordinate with the patient care team to ensure a safe, efficient surgical environment. Completion of an approved surgical tech program is required; CST certification is preferred and BLS may be

Minimum Qualifications

• Formal Education Required:
• Completion of approved surgical technician program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• Experience & Training Required:
• Ability to obtain BLS Certification
• Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
• Ability to operate sterilizers, adjust operating tables and accessory devices, and handle instruments

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Requires working under stressful conditions and/or working irregular hours

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
