Job summary

Summa Health System is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist for the Akron Campus to support operating room procedures.

You will set up rooms with the required equipment, pass instruments as a scrub technician, and assist the surgical team throughout cases, ensuring patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BCLS Certification (Basic Cardiovascular Life Support).
• Knowledge of surgical principles and skills.
• Current National Cert Surgical Technologist certification or Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Recent operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provides support to surgical procedures by setting up operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Functions as scrub person throughout procedure.

Formal Education Required
