• Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization.
• Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and support surgeons effectively.
• Adapt to the needs of emergency situations.
• Provide clean-up and turnover of the operating room to prepare for the next patient.
• Must be able to rotate call and report within 30 minutes if called for a procedure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or a surgical technology program (one or two years), or on-the-job training with CHI St Vincent.
• Certified Surgical Technician, preferred but not required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Must be able to rotate call and report within 30 minutes if called for a procedure.
