Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Surgical Technician/T tissue processing tech for travel assignments across Oregon. Responsibilities include sterilizing equipment, preparing tools, and ensuring all devices function properly for safe surgical support.

Required state-specific Surgical Technologist certification where applicable, CPR/health certificate as needed, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Travel to Portland, The Dalles, Hermiston locations is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement.
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only)
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Sterilize surgical equipment and prepare tools to ensure sterility and readiness for procedures.
• Arrange surgical equipment and ensure devices are functioning properly for sterility and safety.

Job description

The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only)
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
