Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technician to assist the cardiac surgeon in the CVOR, prepare sterile instruments, maintain sterilization, and ensure all surgical devices function properly. The role requires at least one year of CVOR experience and Surgical Technician certification is preferred; CPR and health certificates may be required.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Job description

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment; as well as preparing and providing sterile instruments and maintaining the sterilization of surgical equipment, arranging surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

• Surgical Technician certification Preferred (may be required per state and/or client requirement)
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician in a CVOR (cardiovascular operating room) required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
