Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician program preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room, ensuring cleanliness, sterility, and proper setup of instruments and supplies.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients for surgical procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and a sterile field throughout procedures.
• Passes instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons and other team members as directed.
• Anticipates team needs and supports the surgical procedure.
• Performs instrument, sponge, sharps, and supply counts before, during, and after procedures.
