Medical Center Enterprise is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the perioperative team. The role supports the surgeon, prepares sterile fields, assists with procedures, and ensures instruments are used correctly to maintain safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation and aseptic techniques.
• Strong understanding of sterilization methods and infection prevention practices.
• Ability to anticipate needs of the surgical team and respond quickly.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains operating room for surgical cases with proper aseptic technique.
• Assists surgical team by passing instruments and supplies accurately.
• Handles instruments, sterilization, inspection and assembly.
• Performs counts with circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfers.
• Maintains physician preference cards with accurate supplies.
• Cleans, reprocesses, and sterilizes instruments following protocols.
• Restocks supplies and ensures rooms are ready for subsequent cases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
