Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy is seeking a Surgical Tech to help prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team across procedures. You will set up instruments, maintain sterility, and support the team to aid patient healing.

Successful candidates have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program with BLS required; certification preferred. We offer a sign-on bonus and education assistance to eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Open to hiring Certified or Non-Certified Surgical Techs who completed a Surgical Tech education program (Pay will differ per position).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize all surgical supplies, instruments, solutions, and medications.
• Meticulously organize sterile tables and anticipate surgical team needs.
• Perform accurate counts, manage specimens, and uphold the highest sterile technique.
• Ensure a safe environment, report issues, and assist with OR turnaround.
• Provide essential on-call support with a 30-minute response time.
