Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room at St. Mary’s Medical Center. The position is 0.9 FTE with shifts 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 10:00 am–6:30 pm, and 11:00 pm–7:30 am; a four-week rotating schedule includes one weekend and four night shifts, plus a holiday rotation.

Relocation assistance is available. You will work under RN supervision handling instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, with BCLS certification due within one month of hire;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BCLS certification within 1 month of hire.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages.
• Responsible for instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis and supplies handling.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the department.
