Job summary

Essentia Health in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room at St. Joseph's Medical Center. This role involves instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies management, working 24 hours per week with day or evening shifts.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience, and certification within the first year. AHA BCLS within one month is required. Benefits and on-call rotation are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program OR 6 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist with the demonstrated qualification to sit for the certification exam.
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Functions under the supervision of an RN in the Operating Room, providing technical interventions to patients of all ages.
• Responsible for instrumentation, equipment, prosthesis, and supplies; may perform other duties as assigned by the department.
