Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room and instruments; ensures equipment functions properly.
• Maintains sterile field and uses sterile techniques.
• Applies knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology to procedures.
• Performs sterile-field tasks and acts as scrub nurse when needed.
• Assists with patient care under RN supervision and anticipates events.
• Adheres to aseptic practices to maintain a safe environment.
