Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED plus short-term OR training or graduate of surgical technician program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures by preparing and handling instruments.
• Maintain sterile field and enforce infection control standards.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team to facilitate operations.
• Ensure OR is safe, organized, and equipped for procedures.
• Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists to maximize patient safety.
