Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey is seeking an OR Technician (CTOR) to support the Operating Room team. Working the day shift, full-time 37.5 hours per week, you will organize and deliver age-appropriate perioperative care in collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse.

Candidates must be a certified Surgical Technologist with a current BLS, completion of orientation and department programs, and a commitment to patient safety in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Successful completion of Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensurepatients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
