Job summary

1002 Adventist Midwest Management Services, Hinsdale, IL, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and the circulating nurse across procedures. You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile technique, and uphold infection control standards to ensure patient safety.

This full-time, night-shift role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory requirements in a faith-based health care setting. CPR/BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• Field of study: Surgical Technology.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 2+ years of technical experience preferred.
• 1+ years relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains high standards to facilitate cost containment and quality.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications before procedures.
• Supports satisfaction activities and maintains relations with team and physicians.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaks in technique.
• Identifies environmental issues and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Supervises team members and assists with orientation and training.
• Promotes a safe environment and manages emergencies and hazards.
• Follows infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality standards.
• Provides assistance to surgical team and supports turnover times.
