Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist for the PM shift. The role supports the operating room team by anticipating the surgeon’s needs, assembling supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during procedures.

You will assist with room turnover, collaborate with physicians and staff, and help orient new personnel. Requires High School Grad or Equiv; BLS certification; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Technical or vocational training in surgical technology preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the surgeon’s needs and informs the circulating nurse throughout a procedure.
• Maintains high standards and infection control practices; ensures aseptic technique.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports patient and employee satisfaction; maintains good relations with physicians and staff; responds to complaints promptly.
• Supervises and trains new personnel; assists with orientation and education.
