Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Maintain licensure/certification as required by position.
• Must maintain ongoing competency in sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons as scrub tech and second circulator; maintain sterile field.
• Observe and practice sterile technique; correct breaks immediately.
• Prepare for unusual cases by reading preparatory materials and consulting experts.
• Update preference cards within 24 hours of changes.
• Attend committee and team meetings related to surgical procedures.
