Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, seeks a Surgical Technologist for the Labor and Delivery Unit 1. The role is night shift, 36 hours weekly, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus tied to a one-year commitment.

The technologist prepares the sterile field, assists the surgeon, and helps manage specimens and instruments during procedures. Minimum qualifications include a CAAHEP–accredited program, BLS, and preferred ST certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of OhioHealth OR ST Fellowship or
• Graduate from an accredited (CAAHEP) surgical technologist program
• High school diploma or GED; BLS; ST certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical cases with proper supplies and sterile field.
• Act as second assistant to surgeon and manage specimens.
• Maintain and clean OR equipment; ensure equipment safety.
• Participate in unit operations and mentor new staff.
