Job summary

Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Labor & Delivery. This 36-hour/week role features an evening shift (11am-11pm) with every other weekend requirements and a sign-on bonus for experienced candidates.

You’ll assist the surgeon, maintain aseptic technique, prepare instruments, and support intraoperative care across procedures in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) required if employed after July 1, 2013.
• 12 months to less than 3 years of healthcare experience.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aseptic technique during setup and procedures.
• Scrubs on cases and organizes instrumentation for the surgeon.
• Prepares instruments, supplies and equipment for surgical cases.
• Performs counts with the circulating nurse per OR policy.
• Assists in positioning, transporting patients and room turnover.
• Participates in quality improvement and orientation activities.
