Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. The role includes planning and scrubbing procedures, participating in on-call rotations, and operating sterilization and care equipment after training.

Candidates must graduate from Surgical Technology, hold certification, and have current BCLS; at least 1 year of experience is required. Teamwork and initiative are highly valued within our healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program is required.
• Certification in Surgical Technology.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• 1 year or more of Surgical Technologist Experience is Required.

Responsibilities

• Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures per standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation based on department needs.
• Operates the sterilizer and other patient care equipment after training.
• Promotes hospital processes and communicates issues up the chain.
• Assists with updating surgeon preference cards, case carts, stocking, turnover, and inventory.
• Quality Improvement: strives for high-quality performance and improvements.
• Personal Achievement: sets goals to advance skills and helps others.
• Teamwork: builds relationships and supports delivery of care and morale.
• Resource Management: demonstrates accountability and discretion with hospital resources.
