Candidates must have NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C certification and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with standard full-time hours and opportunities for professional growth within a leading academic health system.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an approved discipline or complete a surgical technologist training program.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Certification: NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C; exception if armed forces training program.

Aufgaben

• Facilitates patient care by assisting the surgeon before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Plans, sets up, performs and cleans up the assigned surgical procedure as circulator and as a scrub tech.
• Performs sharp, sponge and instrument counts according to policy.
• Applies Principles of Asepsis to create and maintain the sterile field.
• Ensures safety and maintains sterile technique throughout procedures.
