Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
• 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assisting the surgeon before, during and after surgical procedures.
• Plans, sets up, performs and cleans up the assigned procedure as a circulator and scrub tech.
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of asepsis in maintaining the sterile field.
• Performs counts of sharps, sponges and instruments according to policy.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
