Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting required.
• Graduates who have not obtained certification must do so within one year.
• Experience in a surgical facility or military training in surgical technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment.
• Assist with the peri-operative care of patients.
• Work closely with surgeons and nurses.

Skills

Strong understanding of sterile techniques

Ability to work quickly and accurately

Basic Life Support (BSLS)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
