Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II at Grosse Pointe Hospital to maintain and prepare the surgical suite, handle intraoperative instruments, and maintain a sterile field. The role requires knowledge of procedures and protocols and may include precepting duties.

The position is full-time with a rotating shift and 40 hours per week; benefits and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 are offered. AHL/ARC BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (clinical rotations count as experience).
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite and assist in intraoperative handling of instruments.
• Maintain the sterile field and adapt to changing conditions during procedures.
• Know and follow surgical procedures and protocols; may serve as a preceptor as needed.
