Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II at Farmington Hills Hospital to join our Night shift team. The role focuses on maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, handling instruments intraoperatively, keeping a sterile field, and adapting to changing conditions during procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program.
• Minimum of 1 year Surgical Technologist experience; clinical rotations count.
• AHA/ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare the surgical suite and intraoperative handling of instruments.
• Maintain sterile field and evaluate changing conditions during procedures.
• Respond appropriately to intraoperative changes and maintain knowledge of procedures.
• May serve as a preceptor when needed.
