Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Surgical Technician II PD for Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, CA. The role supports the surgical team under RN/MD supervision, focusing on instrument availability, aseptic technique, and patient flow within the department.

Requirements include at least 2 years of acute care surgical tech experience with CST certification or 10 years of experience, plus graduation from a surgical scrub program and BLS; per diem status and day shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Proficient in scrubbing a minimum of 4 specialties.
• 2 years acute care surgical technician experience and CST surgical scrub certification required, OR 10 years acute care experience.
• Proficient in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Safely and competently perform all aspects of surgical techniques.
• Maintain the clinical information system and patient documentation.
• Serve as a role model and assist new staff or students.
• Precept new employees in the scrub role.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and flow.
