Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. You will prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures and perform room duties involved with direct patient care.

This part-time CST role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, at least one year of CST experience, and current CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• At least one year of CST work experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
• Perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care.
• Function autonomously as a member of the operating room team.
• Assist with instrument flow and other duties as needed.
