Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Downey is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician II to assist physicians during procedures, perform scrub duties, and support the operating room team in the Outpatient Surgery department.

Under supervision, you will ensure sterile technique, prepare instruments, and help with patient data collection, documentation, and post-procedure setup, while adhering to policy, safety, and quality standards, and being on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years within the last three years operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.
• Sets up and organizes the room, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Transports patients, specimens, and equipment as needed and maintains sterile technique.
