Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support the operating room team in California. Under supervision, you will scrub for procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field as part of a collaborative surgical team.

You will work closely with Registered Nurses and physicians, ensuring patient safety, proper positioning, and timely equipment readiness. This role requires BLS certification and an approved surgical technologist program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program.
• National Center for Competency Testing or CST certification is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician during surgical procedures by scrubbing and passing instruments.
• Maintains sterile field and ensures all equipment is prepared and functional.
• Prepares room, instruments, and supplies for upcoming procedures.
• Receives and reports to the RN any patient condition changes or issues.
