Responsibilities

• Assists the physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.
• Sets up and organizes room and equipment for upcoming procedures.
• Assists with transfer, transport, and stabilization of patient within scope of competency.
• Maintains sterile technique and handles instruments and specimens per protocol.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and reassembles instruments; operates sterilization equipment as needed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and provides information within scope to patients/families.
