Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Tech II for on-call daytime coverage. Qualifications

• Two years within last three years operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist program.
• National certification: NCCT or NBSTSA or equivalent, and Basic Life Support.
• Must communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during surgical procedures by scrubbing and passing instruments.
• Set up and organize room and equipment for procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and proper instrument handling.
• Work with the Registered Nurse and team to ensure patient safety and efficiency.
• Transport equipment, supplies, and specimens as needed within the medical center.
