Job summary

Confluence Health in Washington state seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team as a scrub role. You will maintain sterile fields, prepare instruments, and assist the surgical team according to surgeon preference cards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, a WA state license, CST certification, CPR certification, and solid computer skills. On-call duties and ongoing education are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license.
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists.
• CPR certification and annual recertification.
• LPN considered for scrub role depending on experience.
• Basic computer skills including Windows navigation, email and password management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and instrument setup for procedures.
• Assist team by preparing instrumentation and supplies per surgeon preference card.
• Ensure accurate sponge, needle and instrument counts.
• Report faulty equipment and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff.
• Handle emergency situations with prompt, precise actions.
• Comply with call-in times and on-call policies.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality at all times.
