Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Irvine, CA is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to assist physicians during surgical procedures under RN or physician supervision. You will perform scrub duties, prepare the room, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced operating room environment.

You will work with the nursing and surgical teams, adhere to sterile technique, maintain equipment, and support quality patient care through accurate documentation and communication.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years within the last three years operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience.
• Graduate of approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
• National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery OR Surgical Technologist Certificate.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Maintains required certifications as applicable.
• Has full command of the English language (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during surgical procedures by performing scrub duties.
• Sets up and organizes room and instruments according to protocol.
• Transports patients, equipment, and specimens within the medical center.
• Assists with transfer, transport, and stabilization of patient within scope of competency.
• Cleans, sterilizes, and prepares equipment for sterilization and use.
