Job summary

Health Wealth Safe, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team by handling equipment and instrumentation and ensuring a safe, well-functioning environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, complete an accredited Surgical Technician program, and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification to be obtained within ninety days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by handling equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure a safe operating room environment and proper functioning of all necessary equipment.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician.

Certifications/Licensure

• Surgical Technician Certification by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or by the National Center for Competency Testing or through a U.S. Military/Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program (only one required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within ninety days of employment
