Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team with equipment handling, tool preparation, and sterile technique. You will work under supervision to ensure safety and efficiency in procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program, and BLS certification, with 1 year of experience preferred. This is an on-site position in Texas.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a high school diploma and completion of an accredited surgical technician program.
• Experience: at least 1 year in surgical technology; preferred as surgical tech.
• Certifications: certified by a recognized surgical technology board or program; current BLS certification.
• Other certifications from NBSTSA or NCT are preferred; military/public health training is advantageous.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in surgical technology; preferred experience as a surgical tech.
• Certifications & Licenses: Certification by a recognized surgical technology board or program; current BLS certification required. Other certifications from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing are preferred. Also, military or public health service surgical technology training is advantageous.
• Skills: Ability to operate surgical equipment, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment.

Additional Requirements

• Must obtain at least one recognized surgical technician certification within ninety days of hire.
