Job summary

Eisenhower Health in Southern California is seeking a perioperative team member to maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team. You will scrub for basic procedures, anticipate surgeon needs, manage instrument tables, and help with room turnover to ensure efficient start times.

The role requires collaboration with nurses and healthcare professionals and adherence to compliance policies, with opportunities to work at alternate sites as needed. A generous benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Maintains aseptic technique according to surgical policies.
• Ability to scrub for basic procedures after 90 days of hire.
• Communicates effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and policies and reports violations.
• Maintains aseptic technique and surgical field; anticipates surgeon’s needs by reviewing preference card and procuring supplies.
• Maintains orderly instrument table and surgical area; labels medications and irrigations with nurse.
• Maintains and documents sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the nurse.
• Prepares instruments for cleaning and re-sterilization and assists with room turnover.
• Contributes to efficiency to adhere to surgical start times and cost-effective use of supplies.
• May be required to work at alternate sites; performs other duties as assigned.
