Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a full-time day shift Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the operating room team. You will scrub in varied specialties, prepare sterile supplies, assist the RN circulator, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

NJ certification and ongoing CE are required; BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCC credential required.
• Annual 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified in NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assists the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice Recommendations.
• Performs scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensures sterile supplies and equipment are ready for the surgeon and procedure.
• Assists with circulating duties under direct supervision of the RN circulator.
• Adheres to hospital, state, and department policies.
