Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgery Certified Surgical Technician to join our perioperative team. The CST will assist the surgeon in the sterile field and perform scrub duties across varied specialties under the supervision of the RN circulator.

Requirements include a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCC, 15 hours of annual continuing education, and BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCC credential required.
• Annual 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified in NJ.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in the sterile field according to AORN standards.
• Perform scrub duties in varied specialties/procedures.
• Ensure sterile supplies and equipment are ready for each case.
• Assist with circulating duties under the RN circulator supervision.
• Follow hospital, state, and departmental policies and procedures.
