Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita is seeking a Surgical Technician for the day shift to support the surgical team in delivering high-quality patient care. The role includes preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and ensuring instrument sterility and readiness for procedures.

The successful candidate will have Surgical Technology training (or related) and up to two years OR experience, with BCLS certification encouraged. A generous sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or Practical Nursing program.
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology or Applied Sciences.
• 0–2 years operating room surgical technician experience required.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and maintains the operating room for surgical cases, ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are organized and sterile.
• Passes instruments and supplies to the surgeon and team accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures sterilization, inspection, and assembly of instruments and equipment.
• Performs instrument counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfer during procedures.
• Maintains and updates physician preference cards for procedures.
• Cleans, reprocesses, and sterilizes instruments per protocols.
• Restocks supplies and ensures rooms are ready for subsequent cases.
