Job summary

Ascension Health, at Ascension Saint Thomas Dekalb in Smithville, TN, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room. Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from NBSTSA required.
• Note Tennessee Code reference for non-certified applicants regarding experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and instruments; hand instruments to surgeon as requested.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor instrument counts throughout procedures.
