Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville is seeking staff to support the Operating Room. Responsibilities include terminal cleaning of ORs, safe transport of carts and equipment, proper disposal of hazardous waste, and maintaining supply par levels. Role also involves assisting patients with positioning under nursing direction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: required licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment and air vents.
• Transports case carts, equipment and supplies and disposes of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures.
• Monitors and maintains supply inventories at an appropriate par level.
• Provides physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting and, moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.
