Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Surgical Tech - CVOR CST for a 13-week assignment in a cardiovascular operating room in Paramus, NJ. The specialist will support complex Open Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures and maintain strict sterile technique throughout surgical cases.

Qualified candidates hold a current nursing license (if applicable), NBSTSA and BLS certifications, and must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. On-call duties include one overnight shift weekly and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Open Heart, Vascular & Thoracic experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical support in a cardiovascular OR setting.
• Assist with Open Heart, Vascular and Thoracic procedures (CABG, angioplasty/stenting, aneurysm repair).
• Maintain aseptic technique, sterilization, and accurate instrument handling.
• Adhere to patient safety protocols and charting during procedures.
• On-call: 1 overnight shift per week and every third full weekend.

Description:The CVOR Tech will provide surgical support in a cardiovascular operating room setting.Experience with Open Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic procedures is essential.The tech will assist with various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, aortic aneurysm repair, angioplasty/stenting, and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).The position requires proficiency in aseptic technique, sterilization, and disinfection.Familiarity with specialized surgical equipment is necessary.The tech will be responsible for patient safety protocols and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures.This position includes an on-call requirement of 1 overnight shift per week and every third full weekend.The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively within a team and adhere to established protocols.Strong communication skills and attention to detail are expected.Candidates should be comfortable with electronic charting systems.This role will involve working with adult and geriatric patient populations.A collaborative approach with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care.
