Description:Unit consists of a cardiovascular operating room and multiple general operating rooms.Average number of cases per day is 14.Techs must be certified and have BLS certification.Common types of surgical cases include orthopedic (total joints), gynecological, urology, trauma surgeries, ENT, general, some plastics, vascular, neuro, and robotics.The cardiovascular cases include open heart, valves, thoracotomy, and trauma.Call is required, and there is a first to float policy.Cancellation policy allows hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.Charting system used is Cerner.Trauma level is acute.
