Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Surgical Tech for CVOR coverage in a 13-week Nebraska assignment. The role supports the Cardio OR and may assist in orthopedic, general, ENT, and urology cases when CVOR cases are not in progress.

Shifts are 8 hours daily with on-call requirements; license and BLS are required. EPIC is the charting system used, and orientation is provided to integrate with the CVOR team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience.
• Cardio OR (CVOR) experience preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Must work across CVOR and general OR cases.

Responsibilities

• Due to patient volumes, cannot keep a surgical tech busy 100% of the time with cardiac or vascular cases.
• Seek techs who can work in orthopedic, general, ENT, and urology when not engaged in CVOR cases.
• Unit has 11 suites.
• Average cases per day is 18.
• Orientation provided (1 week).
• Staff will work as part of the CVOR team and in the general OR when not performing cardiovascular procedures.
• EPIC charting is used.

Description:Due to our patient volumes, we cannot keep a surgical tech busy 100% of the time with cardiac or vascular cases.We are seeking techs who can work in other specialties, such as orthopedic, general, ENT, and urology, when not engaged in CVOR cases.The unit has 11 suites.The average number of cases per day is 18.A manager and charge nurse are present daily, and the charge nurse does not take an assignment.Shifts are scheduled from 0700 Monday through Friday, with the same schedule each week.Call is somewhat self-scheduled, with total on-call requirements of 10-15 days per month, including nights and weekends.The response time for call is 15 minutes.Scrubs are provided for staff.There will be one week of unit/department-specific orientation provided.Staff will work as part of the CVOR team and also in the general operating room for other cases when not performing cardiovascular procedures.The facility can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.The charting system used is EPIC.
