Job summary

Qualifications

• CVOR surgical tech with CVOR exposure.
• Strong expertise in open heart procedures including CABG and valve surgeries.
• Experience with CPB cannulation, cardioplegia, pacers/defibrillators, IABP, LVAD and Impella insertions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in OR setup and sterile technique for CVOR cases.
• Support open heart procedures and cardiopulmonary bypass workflows.
• Participate in on-call coverage for weeknights and weekend shifts.

Description:Surgical Technologist needed in the CVOR.This position involves a 40-hour workweek, consisting of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts.On-call obligation is required for covering weeknights and weekend shifts.Candidates should have strong expertise in open heart procedures including CABG and valve surgeries.Experience with CPB cannulation, cardioplegia, pacers/defibrillators, IABP, LVAD and Impella insertion is preferred.The most common procedures include coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacements, heart transplants, aortic artery repairs, vascular bypass, endarterectomies, and endovascular cardiac surgeries.
